JOY IN JESUS 2012:  MN District Special Ministries and Jesus Cares Ministries are looking for volunteers to help staff camps held in Waterville MN from Sept. 28-30 and Spicer MN, Oct. 7-9. Volunteers will help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities participate in the various scheduled activities such as crafts, music, outside activities, and Bible study. Volunteers will work under experienced supervisors. This is an opportunity to let the Light of Jesus shine through you as you too are blessed. COLLEGE PARENTS:  It’s that time again when we need your student’s college address so our college committee can start their mailings.  Please call or drop off the information in the office.

JUST A REMINDER of all the RECYCLING ITEMS we do here at church.  These collections help defray some of our church and school fun things:  KWIK TRIP Gift cards (can be purchased in the office-we earn 10% of each sale), Econo UPC labels, Econo receipts, Box Tops 4 Education, Ink cartridges/cellphones, milk caps from Kwik, Land O Lakes, and Moola , as well as Moola $.05 strips.

LES STUDENTS  will be conducting a gourmet frozen cookie dough and magazine fundraiser until Sunday, September 16, 2012.  Students are raising money for curriculum technology and tuition assistance.  Our fundraising goal is $4,000.  Students will be available between services in the commons area to take your orders.  Think ahead to the holiday; this dough can be kept in the freezer for up to six months.  Also, magazine subscriptions make a perfect Christmas gift.  Don’t forget about the online store!  Cookie dough orders will be delivered late October.  Thank you for your support!

THE LUTHERAN HOME AUXILIARY  will meet on Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.  See enclosed flier this week.

THANK YOU to Pastors Degner and Rauh for their visits and prayers.  Thank you to those who sent cards, prayers and for phone calls during my recovery.  They all were greatly appreciated.  God Bless all. Wanda Johns
