Welcome to Saint Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church! Our congregation was established in 1868 and has existed to serve our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

March 29, 1998, our church was nearly destroyed by a tornado that struck the community of St. Peter. Stepping out in faith, we decided to rebuild, and we have been worshipping in our new sanctuary since 1999.

Our Mission Statement

The continuing purpose of this congregation, as a gathering of Christians, is to serve all people in God’s world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ on the basis of Holy Scriptures.

The primary objective of this congregation shall be:

To proclaim the Law and the Gospel to lead sinners to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ for life and salvation; and

To strengthen believers in faith and sanctification through the means of Grace; and

To equip believers as disciples, stewards, and witnesses for sharing the Gospel of Jesus with our fellowmen.
